I expect that a better name that Tech Category Project is a Tech Mod. My goal is to do what [http://hoi.coremod.org/ CORE] did to Hearts of Iron game - i.e. create a much more detailed game, especially by expanding the tech tree. See below sections for project details. My inspiration are SMAlphaCentaure, HoI CORE mod and all SE4G mods - I want FO game to show all possible ways of future civilisation development, allowing to recreate many fictional sf universes.

Tech Mod

Note to Free Orion project members

I think that wiki engine is sometimes much better then forum for discussing certain aspects of FO (since hypertext+wiki are much nicer then loooooong forum threads, IMHO) and I hope our little discussion will familiarise you all with Wiki-tech. Hopefully we will be able to use official FO wiki for such discussions in the future.
