The FreeOrion project is divided up into teams. De jure project lead is Tyreth. He may be contacted when it is felt that team leads are acting inappropriately or inadequately.
De facto leaders are the team leads:
- Graphics - Team lead is Vacant, but Prenid (pd) is acting as lead.
- Programming - Team lead is Tzlaine.
- Game Design - Team lead is Geoff the Medio.
- Audio - Team lead is Vacant.
