the sourcecode is unter GNU right? I hask here since I'm not shure, but think that this page shuld be filled properly.
- FreeOrion is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), and as required in that liscence, the source code is available to the liscencees. I'm not sure of the details, but it appears that the graphics are also liscenced under the Creatice Commons Attribution - Share Alike liscence. -Geoff

Why link to the GPL at the creative commons site, and not the FSF itself: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html
- Because the CC site has a nice and easy to understand summary of the GPL as well as the full legal code, in the native language of the person accessing the license. Just take a look -- Yoghurt 21:01, 29 Oct 2005 (EDT)
