Found other error in the mail settings. Even added myself to check them. Now you should got "FreeOrion OTP" mail.
Still not working for me. Same as before.
Could you try next sequence:
  • Enter to the game
  • Get to the login window
  • Wait for "FreeOrion OTP" mail even if it was placed in spam.
  • Enter 5-digit OTP

All right, this time as well as previous one I got an email that went to spam (and I wonder why "All" does not include all in gmail).
I've connected with the OTP and played my hand :twisted:
Then I've resigned (not conceded), exited FO and went back again, repeated the steps (wait for new OTP in the email) and it worked just fine.

Server is working. Both ip and dns are accessible.

Hmmm... weird. This is the same machine I used yesterday, but now I get Time Out.

So I am connected but nobody else is. Do we have to all connect at the same time to start the game, yes?

Now I can get to the Authentication window, but there is no OTP coming to the email (waited 2 minutes). I haven't done anything to my machine except restarting it.
Edit: to see what happens, I've used the previous OTP password, then FO has been black for around 20-30 secs and then "The connection to the server has been lost."

It's configured to advance turn automatically every 24 hours. Slow server :)
Maybe there is the option to advance turn whenever all players are connected and have hitted Next Turn.

Did you enter player name as "Magnate" with the same case? It looks like authentication is case-insensitive but game is case-sensitive.

I got inspiration from FreeCiv LongTurn project where each turn is strictly 24 hours. It possible to disable timeout and turn will advance when all players hit Next Turn. It will work even if players won't be connected same time.

Next release I going to allow some count of players to be disconnected in public multiplayer server.
