Under what circumstances should it be used?
The ! button takes you to a form where you can enter a reason, specify whether you want to be notified when the report is dealt with, and then enter more detailed info in a bigger box. I'm not sure what happens after you submit, but my guess is that it'll appear as a message or notice to moderators.

I guess you could use it if you want to report a spam post or abusive post content...

nice new forum... I like it...

I would like the "Board Index>>General>>Suggestions" to be more pronounced like in the old forum... I seemed to always hunt for the link to navigate back to the main forums, or go up one level...

oooooo colors with ease...

I am unable to change URL to my avatar. It just says
"It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image."
Changing avatar dimensions or leaving them blank has no effect.

Your old avatar image, if I copy and paste the URL into the address bar, redirects to a long and complicated https url. The forum software might not like that (if the new image is accessed the same way).

Try entering a link to a smaller (less than 80x80) image on a simple http non-redirecting server...

I tried to set the URL to this location: http://av104635-1.comtv.ru/Good-evening ... s80x80.jpg
It doesn't appear to redirect, the image is scaled to 80x80 and it's much faster than the old location. That's why I wanted to change it in the first place.

Looks like it's a problem with the board software:

Okay this is weird. the times that I haven't been able to use BBcode seem to be an issue with individual threads not allowing me to use it.

I think the forum search function doesn't search posts made before the transition.

Search for "ship"; there are only 8 matches, and the earliest is from Sun Jun 17, 2007.

It doesn't seem to matter what I use, putfile, imageshack, photobucket... I can't get an avatar working. Something about the inability to determine the dimensions. I've tried even shrinking the image down to 1 pixel X 1 pixel in attempt to humor it and it still couldn't figure it out. =P

yes I tried to upload a new avatar as well... got the same ridiculous message about dimensions... its definitely a bug because I tried uploading the same avatar I currently have with a different filename... but no, it can't figure it out... except my current avatar works.... hmmmm

I've updated the software to phpBB 3.0RC3, so post here if you have any further troubles, and I'll see what can be done.

can we please, please, PRETTY please... with extra sugar on top get a link or button that "marks all posts in forum as read". Thanks!! Old posts made by spam bots, and deleted are still showing as new, even months after I've checked those threads...

Such a button already exists. It's at the top of each forum's page, or one at the top of the forum as a whole. Here's a direct link to it:
index.php?mark=forums

Do a search on the pages for 'mark forums read' or 'mark topics read'
