Yes, that's what I wrote when saying that rushing them was a mistake. Symbiots need to wait 12 turns for the ships and that's once you get the tech, which is at least 10 turns after the start.
So that's not a rush...

Haven't noticed any bugs so far, but I did notice there is no sit rep for gaining a new policy slot? I'll have to double check, I may have just missed it in the noise. If it's not there then may be worth adding in.

Not sure how long people would like to keep this game going. I'll just mention the option of both me and LR both conceding and allowing o01eg and Oberlus to duke it out. The window for that shrinks if I actually have to chase down the last of LRs ships in o01eg's territory due to some delusion that you haven't lost till the last ship falls.

If you are willing to concede and move to something else, we can finish this now.
o01eg has more power than me currently, but I hope to turn the scales at some point in the future, now that my Egassem do reach 10 stability.

Edit: no, I think I can't win playing solo against o01eg, we can just concede now if o01eg is not willing to kill some ships.

I'll just mention a strategy that worked out well for me. I got moderation policy fairly early and started banking influence, I must have been up to about 250 IP banked by the time I switched to industrialism. Instead of going all the way to 300 IP and spending it on interstellar infrastructure I just used that bank to run at full steam. Every planet on production except for an Acirema planet on research.

Maybe it's only for Replicon. With their -5 stability I was unable to use Nascent AI or GGG in most planets, and Necesity worked meh because their -50% research also affects it.

Did a bit of a test run with Replicon in SP with Necessity. So at around 2 stability the necessity bonus and very bad research penalty cancel out. On an average good planet with symbiotic biology their pop bonus is +6, or enough for 1.2 research (approximately the +1 from Nascent AI). It's certainly far from amazing, but they are capable of matching an average research species under the right conditions.
