Yes, it's a One-Time Password so it generated each time your login. When password window opened you should wait for new password mailed.

Got it, thanks.

So what do we do on test server? Nothing? Just there to register?

Yes, mostly to check availability. Also you could look for the game settings or even try to play.

You can play a bit, try things, but it doesn't matter. When real game starts everything will be new (random galaxy and species).

I sent you a PM with a mail then.

But I still don't know how to launch a stable freeOrion version while my computer has the latest snap version ?
As I understand there different channels for freeorion distribution: https://freeorion.org/forum/viewtopic.p ... 67#p103667
This I understand but since I have one how can I get the other to run ?
And how would I launch the specific one I want ? As of now I just type "freeorion" in the terminal or in the Linux menu, but if there are two versions ?

I don't use snap so it better to ask owner of freeorion snap package )

Two options. Either install two versions in parallel or switch between the versions.

Switch to specific 0.4.10 version: snap refresh freeorion --channel=0.4.10/stable

Switch to current stable (which is currently the same as the 0.4.10 track): snap refresh freeorion --channel=latest/stable

Switch to current master: snap refresh freeorion --channel=latest/beta

I typed this exact command (+ sudo before it) and it doesn't change the current FreeOrion I have on my computer.

Also, I tried to join the server to test how it's done, and the "OK" button stays grayed even after I pasted freeorion-lt.dedyn.io in the "internet" field.

I'm not sure how snap works but maybe you should not use sudo. Also you need to enter your login to player name.

Meaning the server is using ~86 MB and the AI ~131 MB?

After loading a turn 124 game with 8 AIs and 1 mostly inactive human player in a 350 star galaxy, on Windows the server uses ~43 MB and the AIs between 30 and 35 MB each.

Maybe because windows is still x86 with shorter data while linux version is x64_86.

What is the output (sudo should be the right thing to do)?

Also what is the output of: snap info freeorion

If you use two versions at the same time it depends under which name you installed it. E.g. on one machine i made a: snap install freeorion_edge --channel=latest/edge
You need to enabe it before (sudo snap set system experimental.parallel-instances=true) see https://snapcraft.io/docs/parallel-installs

Then all commands use freeorion_edge instead of freeorion. E.g. freeorion_edge or freeorion_edge.freeoriond
