11th game will be finished soon so I'm planning to start the next game after. The server will upgrade to 0.4.10.1 third release candidate expected Friday September 25th 2020, 1pm UTC and next 0.4.10 releases if any.
This will restores Ubuntu Xenial 16.04 LTS compatibility if someone couldn't play because of it.
Changes from previous game:
Systems per player: 30.
Age: Medium.
Tech cost: 160%.
Production cost: 80%.
Alliance of two could be winner.
Currently there are 4 registered players:
o01eg
Oberlus
wobbly
Magnate

I'd play if any server changes would require an unanimous decision of all non-eliminated participants (so the rules don't change mid-game for no compelling reason).

There is much less chance to get next minor release after first bug-fix, especially which will require to change content.

Last game (11th) had no changes, as expected. This one won't have either. Only bugfixes allowed, no new functionalities or balance tweaks.

Yep, I've asked Vezzra to release 0.4.10.1 to start new game with it.

I'd like to play, and I support both Oberlus's and L29Ah's suggestions: no server updates (unless to fix an egregious bug, agreed by remaining players), and alliances on - but I would suggest no more than 3 allies can win, to save it devolving into 5vs4 or whatever.

The game doesn't have alliances as some group of empires. It possible for empires A and B be allies and empires B and C be allies while A and C at war. I can only limit number of empires which allied with one empire.

The server-side fixes I can manage myself, but for client-side or common game resources fixes I need Vezzra to release 0.4.10.2 and so on.

Why is O01eg troubled with the requirement of unanimous acceptance of the fixes then?

I don't think he is troubled. He is just being systematic, IF there is an update that has new functionalities, he will update server. However, there won't be any new functionalities.

So he knows there will be updates that he'll want applying regardless of the other players' preferences on this matter, otherwise he would accept such a condition.
Does 0.4.10.1 have influence? It's going to be an interesting experience if it does - and I think we might want to be more open to fixes/updates if we're testing that.
Otherwise I think we should eschew updating for new functionality unless it fixes bugs we all want fixed.
