We use weekly test build and patches to change content. It was the reason previous alternative content testing was made with stable release 0.4.9. I can only hope now this changes will be merged before next test build.

Ummm. Why am I getting an OTP every turn??

Oh wait, I guess it is because I exit by closing the window. I'll try exiting the long way and see if that works.

Also, I just met my first neighbour on turn 6. Once again this galaxy is too small for my liking.

No - I'm definitely getting OTP every turn, whatever I do. Is the game stalled or ok? No new turn for a day or so.

Can confirm im also getting constant OTP as well...

I get it sometimes. I think I get it when I restart the machines (after booting into Windows and back to Ubuntu).
Are cookies being deleted on reboot?

No - my machine doesn't reboot, and the cookie lasts until Oleg upgrades the server version (and I update the client). Something is different - I think it is because of the exobots patch. But don't know why it's not happening to everyone - maybe only to us Windows users?

Each server reboot drop cookies. Also they are dropped after some time without login. Maybe long turn caused it.

Early this morning while conducting aggressive patrols on our far eastern frontier, our prized and decorated combat vessel, the Ezra, came across a lone unescorted and unidentified foreign object. The crew remembering their training well, fired upon the ship immediately. However, it chose not to allow itself to fall so easily to our firepower and began return fire, kicking off the Skirmish of Tegman's Nebula.

The skirmish would eventually conclude in a stalemate as both ships suffered moderate damage. Consequently, the top military brass has opened communications with the now code-named Machine Empire, seeking reparations for damages done to our ship, which is well known for its actions during the Revolution.

The details of this new development will not be disclosed at this time.

The server was upgraded to 2020-05-12.9eb021f with #2932 applied.

Zipped default content: default-exobots-everywhere-2.zip.

It's prone to https://github.com/freeorion/freeorion/issues/2947 so you might want to checkout this https://github.com/Voker57/freeorion/tree/mpv instead

Your link is wrong here. It goes to the previous .zip file instead of the -2.zip file.
