Tenth game on the multiplayer slow game server

Suddenly 9th game is going to the end so I'm opening preparation for the next game.

I'm planning to start the game after #2883 will be fixed and next weekly test build published. Then the server will follow 0.4.10 release branch and test builds.

Changes from previous game:
  • No monsters.
  • No natives.
  • Galaxy shape: Clusters.
  • Planet density: Medium.
  • Systems per player: 27.
  • Tech cost: 60%.
  • Production cost: 120%.
Applied patch from #2932.

Sign me in.

I ask to tune down planet density to medium again (or even low if everyone else likes it), because high allows for more unbalanced planet distributions: the HW allocation routine in universe generation does not take into account that parameter, and seems to be better adjusted for low/medium densities.
I'm currently playing with the constants that control that, looking for something that still works for every possible planet density and galaxy shape. But I'll also try to make the mentioned routine to take into account those parameters (so that it asks for a greater minimum number of planets in greater vicinities for more dense or bigger galaxies).

Also, I would ask for no natives (keep low specials), just to see how that works out for us.

I do however lament the missed opportunity to deploy the full might of the holy crusader navy in crushing the heathens.

Good game nevertheless.

I too would opt for low planet density

o01eg, I noticed in the game nine saves that the Oberlus empire went completely poof when he conceded. What will be the concede mechanics for this tenth game?

I forgot to cherry-pick commit from 0.4.9 branch that leaves empire assets untouched.

Which one choice how to deal with conceded empire? Need to mention that when empire eliminated all researched bonuses cease to work.

Have you experience playing FreeOrion? If not, you should play a few games against AI, because this game will be free diplomacy (no fixed teams), and a player without experience will have a hard time surviving in the short run.
