maybe we should have a rule where if I have to delete X number of your posts, I get to invent my own title for you.

Ya, that is exactly why they took the post counter off the Blizzard forums. If that starts to happen, I think the "ranks" should be taken off immediately, and the post that declares that should be the first and only warning.

I thin the people here are reasonable enough not to spam the board.
As I know the problem with some german boards it can really be annoying.
But for here and related to the seize of the forum spam should not have any chance.
Therefore I like the ranks.
Maybe we can define special title for special people, later one who describes their personallity (like in rpg forums).
But this is not necessary yet

Some people already have special titles, eg Tyreth 'FreeOrion Lead', Aquitaine 'FreeOrion Lead Designer', etc.

I just put that in. It doesn't have to stay that way. It might be nice having some more natural names:

Space Squid
Space Wyrm
Space Dragon
Eternal Dragon

and so on. What do you think? Or stick to the human ranks?

I like those new ones! Partially because I inspired them, but partially becuase they just cool, and different.
