Has anyone ever used this building?

I wanted to, but (d'oh) it requires a black hole.

And you can only make black holes from red stars.


How about letting us make BH from other star types as well, at greater costs?

Well, the black hole collapser is a very special and very late building. By the time you have it, you should have conquered most of the universe and there should be either a black hole or a red star somewhere.

The more common use for artificial black holes is the black hole power generator and possibly stellar tomography. I think allowing turning every star into a black holes makes them too easily available.

Has anyone ever used this building?

I use it often. To create a black hole at a system with red star and nice planets for etty, fluver or other good pilot species. You need that black hole for the solar attack hull and the black hole power generator. So one black hole with 2 - 3 planets should be enough.

Aren't you mixing the Black Hole Collapsar (which I never used) and the Artificial Black Hole (which, like many, I use when I don't have a natural Black Hole) ?

You're absolutely right. I mixed that My mistake
