An issue might be the file size, around 5 MB per .ttf file. That might be a bit much to include in the default download packages.

@nanimosinaihito

Is there anything that speaks against the usage of one of the Noto font familiy? What about Noto Sans JP or CJK? That should cover the glyphs you need.

The current release files are tiny, 5 or 20 MB more or less don't make a difference.

I could only find the oft file, but I think it works.
If you put cjk, you will put Chinese version, Japanese version and Korean version

I've looked closely and it looks like 15MB can cover 3 languages,
cjk font is in ubuntu.

15 MB is 10% of the largest installer file size. If it's just the one font, that's probably OK, but if we get many more other languages, an alternative involving separate downloads of font + stringtable packages might be needed.

Does this commit mean that the Roboto-Bold font will be now used by default if the Bold Font is checked in the Options?

If yes, the glyphs U+27F2 and U+27F3 ('Clockwise Gapped Circle Arrow' and 'Anti-Clockwise Gapped Circle Arrow'), used in the Production Queue, are missing in the Roboto-Bold font.

I did the modification only for the Roboto-Regular font, back in 2016 (8b534fd).

I'm not sure what "is checked in the Options" means. There's no check box for fonts, just a file select box.

Regardless, all that commit did was add a visible option on the Options screen UI for what was already an internal option to select the bold font file. Nothing about what font is used where by default was changed.

Oh ok, thanks.

So, the glyphs I've mentioned are definetely missing in the Roboto-Bold font:

Here's the modified Roboto-Bold font with glyphs U+27F2 and U+27F3 ('Clockwise Gapped Circle Arrow' and 'Anti-Clockwise Gapped Circle Arrow') , which I never commited (I don't know why).

Sorry for the zip, it is not possible to attach a .ttf file. Let me know if you prefer I create a pull request.
