Linux Compile documentation complete

#1 Post by GrandSatrap »

Dear Moderators/ Sysops,
I've updated the documentation for how to compile FreeOrion in Linux, specifically in Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.04). You can find it at http://www.freeorion.org/index.php/Talk ... _In_Linux2
You can now move it into the main documentation (I don't know how to do that) and put a link to it wherever you want to. I don't know that it entirely replaces the existing Compile_In_Linux documentation.

Thanks a lot

I just compiled the whole thing quite easilly. (except for few boost 1.50+(1.51) api changes )

However, is seems the given ppa does not provides the libbullet anymore. However, it can be found on this one : http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/getdeb ... dist=lucid.

btw, the /etc/ld.so.conf part in GiGi is not necessary as /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf match /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libc.conf that contains /usr/local/lib (could be seen with grep "usr/local/lib" /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*)
