In my current game, in some ships, after a number of turns (50?-100?), thier shield simply dispeared.
Work as intended ?

In fact, in my current game today, i was closely looking two fleets with shield (multi spectral shield), going to their target location.
On the next turn, 1st fleet lost shield (every ship) while nothing special happened (only thing happened was this fleet went through (bypass) an empty system).
2nd fleet lost aswell its shield, while going through (bypass) a home system (planets with stealth).
I tried to upload a .sav, in order for you to see if its a bug or not, but this extension isn't allowed.
What is a "a molecular cloud" ?
Something that is a planet propertie ?

Molecular cloud is an "atmospheric" terrain effect that moves around the galaxy, if you play with gas fields and star rendering off they're very very obvious, and ships within them at the start of a turn get no shields until the start of the next turn. That's the most likely explanation, if it wasn't a cloud then something strange might be happening.
Right click on any terrain feature and it'll give you a pedia popup.

Oh i see.
I thought that those background graphics was only for visual.
I didn't think it could have an effect/interaction on the game.
The cost of building a shield in a ship is expensive, I think removing an 100% shield is a bit hard though.

Just an idea on the fly, perhaps team developpers could add a dashed circle on these nebulae when mouseover it !
