To find players for a multiplayer game of FreeOrion I propose to use #freeorion-starting-games channel at freenode irc.
There we can chat about strategy, wait for players, you know. The usual.

I have been told that #freeorion channel in freenode is in fact usefull for this. We don't need to create one new channel.
There is not too much people there, we can meet to start games.
