Any way we can make our own species?

I seem to recall seeing a tutorial or something on making our own playable races, but I can't seem to find it again. Could someone tell me if it's even possible?

Just add a new species to species.txt in the default content directory. The species (and all other content) definitions are defined in FreeOrion's content scripting language, Focs, which is reasonably friendly to non-programmers. See the Effects page on the wiki for some additional documentation on the possible effects. For the most part though, you shouldn't even need that to create a new species, since the majority of common "picks" are conveniently available via macros - you'll see what I mean when you open the file.

In-game species customization is not yet implemented.
Warning: Antarans in dimensional portal are closer than they appear.
