Asteroid cloud cover

Should asteroids really have Cloud Spans or High Cloud Cover?

There's been plenty of talk about FO not needing to be particularly realistic, but that combination doesn't sit right with me. I'd say no, they shouldn't.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that. The current stealth specials don't necessarily apply very well in all cases, especially Cloud Cover and Volcanic Ash. There could be alternate, similar specials for Asteroids and Gas Giants though, like "High Nebulous Activity" and "Concentrated Space Dust" or something like that.

They're relevant for asteroids at least, because Exobots.

They certainly have gameplay value regardless, since outposts need to be hidden as well, but I was working under the assumption that the thread was referring to the "realism" aspect, which is why I suggested alternate, but functionally equivalent specials.

Yup, it's certainly not trying to simulate reality but this one seemed a bit out there...
