Why is this important?
Surprise and Terror! I am greeted by the smooth and hostile face of our old enemy, the Hootmans! No... the Huge-glands, no, I remember, the Hunams!

Well, it isn't. I was just curious, because when I just looked and saw 281 users registered, it didn't seem right to me. It was more of a rehtorical post I guess...

I guess most of them are 'lurkers'. Ya know, they read, but don't reply.

I read these boards daily but don't presently have much free time to actually contribute, so I lurk. I can't imagine that I'm alone. This project has too much potential not to attract significant interest from the disaffected Moo3 crowd (and others!) when its existence becomes known.
Anyway,

I've been lurking here for months before I registered. I finally had somthing to contribute, so I registered.

I find that it takes twice as much time to read other people's posts as it does to post yourself. ::shrug::

But you have to read the other posts to be able to post. So you read, then you get to post. He might not have time for the second part...

I post sometimes, but the hard "creative design time" is over till we get stronger onto v0.2 So reduced posting income from me

Hey, I was right. Lurkers are everywhere
. Though I must admit, sometimes you can't be bothered to post, so lurking has its pluses.

Yep. I kind of assume this site is high on lurkers. My google toolbar assigns this site one of the larger Page Ranks from among the forums I visit. I post on another forum that is at least 5 times as active as this one but for which Google's PageRank bar doesn’t even go up.

I had posted a response here but someone removed (anyone wanna own up ?)
anyway from experiences elsewhere
10 lurkers for every poster
1/5 are usually active posters so out of 300 (60 will be active) on average.
Leave post on thread to moderators.

I didn't remove anything, and Tyreth's been very busy with v0.1, so I'd be surprised if he did.
although this thread is pretty pointless, it'd be even more pointless to remove just one post.
