Re: Recent Windows Builds
Had some confusion with this.pd wrote: Using the command line flag "--test-3d-combat" when starting the client, as soon as a combat occurs, the 3d combat will be started.
Apparently what pd said works when you start FreeOrion by using Run. However if you want to run FreeOrion from cmd.exe that you have placed in the FreeOrion directory, like I did, you need to use "freeorion --test-3d-combat".
By the way, awesome ships pd.
Re: Recent Windows Builds
You can edit a shortcut to include the parameter. Also, you can just run cmd.exe from anywhere and change the directory to where freeorion is located. Also also, in Windows 7 you can hit the start/windows button and start typing "freeorion --test-3d-combat" right away.
I've corrected your quote :)MikkoM wrote:By the way, awesome shader/lighting work tzlaine. :D
Re: Recent Windows Builds
You are right. Nice work by both of you of course, since without the combat engine we couldn`t see your models in-game.pd wrote:I've corrected your quoteMikkoM wrote:By the way, awesome shader/lighting work tzlaine.

FreeOrion_Win32_3614.zip is available.
You need to install 0.3.14 for this to work. See the first post for instructions.
- secondary focii have been removed
- different types of focii can be added/unlocked/removed using the species.txt

Re: Recent Windows Builds
It might be a good idea to modify the instructions for downloading to get the tarball of the default folder with the same SVN revision as the version of the executables.
Re: Recent Windows Builds
I have trouble finding a link for tarballs other than the latest revision. Any hint?

Re: Recent Windows Builds
There's a "Sticky Revision" option on the web SVN viewer, which adds a pathrev parameter to the url. For SVN 3621: http://freeorion.svn.sourceforge.net/vi ... threv=3621pd wrote:I have trouble finding a link for tarballs other than the latest revision. Any hint?
Re: Recent Windows Builds
THanks I'll provide such a link for any future build.

To update your default folder, either grab this tarball or specifically update to revision 3665.
