Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Is there a bug where fighters do not launch ?
I checked that my designs do have launch bays and the ships do have current fighters set to non-zero, but no launch appears in the logs and enemies which should have been destroyed are unharmed and kick my ass...
It may be when they're out of supply, but the ships are still marked with non-zero fighters on them.

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Actually the ships are marked with a launch capacity of zero (even in-supply), which I do not understand (again, I checked, the design do have launch bays).
They destroyed a ship some turns before, the logs reporting fighter launches.
WTF ?

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I'm doing some playtesting in SP, Windows client, and I could not rearrange fleets in some weird situation:
When I had some symbiotics with flux lance in my capital apart from colony, troops and other warships, I could not split or merge fleets nor drop a fleet into another, but I could select individual ships from each fleet and drop them on other fleets, as long as they were not the specific ships causing the trouble. If I moved those ships to a different system, everything was fine: the troublesome ships could now be rearranged, and the other ships left at the capital too. Later, new ships of that symb-flux-lance design popped out and the problem was there again. Very misterious.

Yes, I'll set up those settings to Medium and restart the game.

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I restarted the game with new settings.
With all those errors maybe better to postpone game to the next weekly test build?

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
As long as there's a snap for it...
Someone should look into the zeroed Launch capacity before we can start the game, actually.
It would be stupid if one player would have his strategy destroyed because of such a bug.

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Also, "medium" monsters after Oberlus changed the numbers (a few months ago, don't know if they were changed again) is way too much from my experience.
Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Let's try it anyways? I regularly play on medium in SP, sometimes High. I still have to test very high... Anyways, sometimes it forces me to build army for a while without anything good to colonize, but less of a problem than getting crappy natives while your enemies get good ones.
Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Fine by me.
I don't understand the new game anyway.

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I have both my starting outpost ship and colony ship in a system with a small planet and a Gas Giant.
I want to outpost the small planet, but there's no option for that.
Since both ships are out of fuel, I can't send the Colony Ship away to keep only the Outpost one...
Is that a known bug ?
There is a drop-down menu but clicking on it does nothing.

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I did, and the button didn't appear.
Also, I have a Lance ship in a system with a larval kraken on it, and there is no combat.
The Lancer is on aggressive stance, I checked.
(oh, new Kraken apparently, the sitrep telling me of a larval kraken arrived was about another system with a similar name)

Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I have Liberty and "Like focus" is +2, "dislike building" is -1.
????
????
Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
What type of dislike building?
In planet should be -4, -2 (Conformance) or -8 (Liberty)
In system should be -1, -0.5 (Conformance) or -2 (Liberty)
In empire should be 0.5*sqrt(#buildings), so for 1 building -0.5, -0.25 (Conformance) or -1 (Liberty).
I guess you have one building in empire.
Focus like is the same for all: +2.
Focus dislike: -2, -1 (Conformance), -4 (Liberty).
You already complained about this change, but it got merged anyways. I like it. Balance might be off regarding the RP bonus, as already comented.
Re: Twentieth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I have the zero launch capacity bug again...
Turn 66, my three ships recover 8 fighters each (though they have only 4), turn 67 they can't launch any.
And it seems (from previous game) that the launch capacity never recovers.
