Sending an email when a test game is started could be good.

Yeah, I just didn't check the forum so wasn't aware that it started.

Anyway, three Xenophobic players in a cooperative game ???

Hope that the real one won't have the same problem...

It shouldn't crash. At least I didn't encountered it in this version.
Gentoo Linux x64, gcc-11.2, boost-1.78.0
Ubuntu Server 22.04 x64, gcc-12, boost-1.74.0

That is the error I get on the console : "erminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::invalid_argument'
what(): Attempted to construct a Ship with an invalid design id"

I did create a Ship design, but this ship design is no more in my list of designs (but still enqueued in the Production).

I did a snap refresh just before joining the game, but I don't know which version it is.
What is written on the top of the window is "build 2021-11-27.cd8138e".

Weird. The 1st part of that is the date, nov 27. Should be build 2022-01-18.580d50d

One person can then act as the Game-Master, who periodically creates some monster ships / fleets for the players to fight against.
It needs something. I've been doing pretty well in the test game by just leaving build cruisers on repeat and letting turns pass.

Not so weird: it's 18th game version.
LienRag, Ophiuchus didn't update snap this week (get use to this: if Ophi doesn't post the update in the forums, there is no update). I hope you can install FO in a different way (compile source code?).

So, without smoketesting, released the 2022-01-18.580d50d revision (275) to beta and also to beta/slow-game-019

you should either install it in parallel or do a

Code: Select all

snap refresh freeorion --channel=latest/beta/slow-game-019
in parallel you have to enable some experimental stuff i forgot and do something similar to

Code: Select all

snap install freeorion_019 --channel=latest/beta/slow-game-019
then you can run it with "freeorion_019" or "snap run freeorion_019"

I did that, now I'm stuck in the lobby...

Edit : it finally worked after a first denial ("game already in play").
