My wish was granted but how are we already on turn 249 ?
Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server

Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
It's the test game. Every game has first a test game, with an extra AI and turns every 5 minutes, that usually lasts for 24 h.
o01eg always announces the beginning of test and actual games in the relevant thread.
This is the same as in every other game you've joined in the past.
Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
It's the second test game that I join, so I know I would jump in later than turn 1, but 249 seemed a lot to me.. Haven't you started yesterday ?
PS: Can I keep my fourty-seven in the real game when it starts ?

Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Not really. You asked:
The snap test build is what Ophiuchus builds, it's not automatic. What is automatic is the snap refresh, I think.
So I guess you wanted to ask "Once the Windows test build is launched, it'll be automatically on the right snap channel?", to what Ophiuchus would have answered "No, I have to do the build for the snap" or something like that.
Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I started new test game with check for planet's species before assign native. Somehow only AI home system checks when generator checks for native planets.

Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
I solved native species issue on the server so we don't need to re-roll new galaxy.

LienRag, o01eg and TheSilentOne vs Ophiuchus, wobbly and me.

Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Fusion Generation needs a Stability of 18 to give a bonus ?
WTF ? Or is it just a documentation mistake ?

Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Documentation is fine (kudos for Ophiuchus implementation of named values):
https://github.com/freeorion/freeorion/ ... cs.txt#L17
I also think 18 seems too high.

Re: Eighteenth game on the multiplayer slow game server
Has scouting changed the way it works ?
IIRC a scout in transit didn't see anything, only when he reached a node (star or empty space) did he get vision of his surroundings.
Now I get information about star systems (star, planet, monsters) that my scout is approaching, before he reaches it.
Obviously it's more realistic in a way, but it's also way poorer tactically as the old system allowed to dance around enemy detection, which was quite fun and could have major strategic consequences.
