I'll unadopt bureaucracy. We can restart same players later if silentone agrees. I'd personally like to see the new version of balance/moderation make it to master. Geoff any timeframe on that?

I think the implementation is merge-ready. The influence bonus could be a bit higher.
And I would really appreciate if we merge the spatial flux line rework so we can battle-test it (i already playtested and its merge-ready from my side)

I suppose before Tuesday we should make at least 3 turns. Instead I can start new game not with next weekly test build (2021-11-09) but with next next weekly test build (2021-11-16) so we could see Metropolis result and maybe apply some other changes. Also I'll open call for new players.

Anyway with game wrapping up soon I'm prepared to screenshot for reference. This is the space requirement for 3 regional admins (40 turns of bureaucratic bureau of bureaucracy). One at Baxtim beta, another at Troas and 1 at Haalar, Halley is capital, Khaga was an Oberlus colony at the edge of his space.

i think got what i wanted to see. only one planet more to kick in at 20pop. target production will be almost 100, target research 90 while producing quite some influence. with the old megalopolis balancing giving over 50 RP and PP. It will be more for species which have access to large planets and growth specials. Its good we nerfed that.

That sounds like the timing is out? e.g. it should be latter in the tree and something between it and centralisation?

it got already nerfed since we started the game. in my current situation in game i would need to at least triple my empire to get the full boost and i think the boosts got halved. so i think it could be ok. also stability 12 guards, which would be probably no prob for my current empire, but not so easy for every empire I guess.

I think they should get both the bonus and the industry penalty. The policy is not strictly tied to terraforming in my view, the bonuses also require "no inudstry focus" and "no buildings". If environmentalism is strictly tied to terraforming then it makes sense that it doesn't work - you can't terraform the gas giant.
OTOH for a Sly empire this already sucks a lot (no profit from terraforming), so I think it would be good if Sly could profit from the tech at least through the policy.
From balancing I think they could use some buff (gas giant generators are the worst, only access to medium planets until late game..)
I have to try disconnected empire though. It may be that having federation early is really good.
Edit: I'd remove the asteroid restrictions as well, not convinced that exobot industry on asteroids and exobot research on asteroids should be exceptions.
