No, he is not aware of any plans from any developer to add anything to 0.4.10. Anything that is not a bug fix will go to master (0.5.0), and will not affect 12th game, which is to test v0.4.10.

No. We are currenty playing 0.4.10. 0.4.10.1 has only bugfixes. If there is a 0.4.10.2 it will only have bugfies.

Magnate wrote: Sat Sep 12, 2020 5:46 pm Otherwise I think we should eschew updating for new functionality unless it fixes bugs we all want fixed.
That's the policy, yes. Vezzra won't allow anything but bugfixes unless it is something very important for the game to be OK. v0.4.10 is OK so I can't imagine of anything that could be allowed.

So why doesn't he commit then?

Nah, Team SMAC found Shadow Empire so we have another great 4X game to play for now :P

Uh oh. I am now googling Starsector and Shadow Empire, while Stellaris loads.

Sorry Oberlus, our galactic chess game may stall!

I've changed rules for the game, increased systems and research and production cost. Also I make an alliance of 2 empires winner to don't mess with stalled chess game again.

Current game, 11th, can be ended whenever you like.

* Non-guarantee of balance breaking updates
* Alliance win
* No AI replacements

^ these are the dealbreakers for me.

I'd maybe be willing to pay for the resources needed to host game with AI replacements if other requirements were met.

o01eg games here always follow the releases so we get some use for the project, this basically means he gives most of the control to vezzra (which in this case in reality means no balance breaking updates, but there wont be a guarantee).

A two players slow game looks not interesting to me: I think in the current game there is a stall so the two guys left are actually bored. Thats why o01eg said, alliance win.

Not sure if AI replacements work, I never tried.

But if you are trying to find players for your game you should open another thread.

I guarantee following 0.4.10 releases. Up here was guaranteed "Vezzra won't allow anything but bugfixes unless it is something very important for the game to be OK. v0.4.10 is OK so I can't imagine of anything that could be allowed."

No issue here, I can make last two alive players win even if they are at war.
Voker57 wrote: Mon Sep 14, 2020 12:07 pm * No AI replacements
AI is eating RAM, if you think empire should be ruled by someone you better to delegate your empire to someone.

Unrelated.

You misunderstood, having last two players win is an issue for me.
AI is eating RAM, if you think empire should be ruled by someone you better to delegate your empire to someone.
That's why I'm offering to pay for the extra resources needed for an AI replacement.

Apparently yes, I'm interested rather in challenging gameplay than in a beta-testing with a bunch of randomly leaving players empowering their former neighbors with free empires, so the multiplayer games with OO1eg are not for me. But I thought I should state my issues.

I don't think that's fair. Oberlus was at pains to compensate the rest of us for the advantages he gained from Ophiuchus leaving. Ophiuchus left for RL reasons, which is always beyond reproach.

I understand that people can leave, that's why I want AI to fill their roles so that other people's game is not ruined.

Hyperant didn't go to such pains in the previous game... And I don't think they did have to.
