In fact, 0.4.10 has not been released yet, and developers were happily pushing balance changes to its branch, so I'm not sure what you are even talking about.

I was the only one pushing balance changes, to fix wroken stuff from insufficiently tested previous balance changes, and there are no more. Only bugfixes will have a chance to be cherrypicked into release candidate.
The last one you link I guess is the experimentors delay? Won't affect us.

It's less than 10% of end-game popbased bonus, and barely 5% of total endgame production.

Regardless of fixing or breaking, still changing balance.
And if nothing else will change, why o01eg has a problem taking responsibility and stopping updating if these changes do happen?

Cause we are in rampdown for release and all changes even if minimal should be tested as much as possible

Count me in

o01eg is taking responsibility of testing v0.4.10, which includes any change you might not like to test. On the other hand, you are being just selfish, "I want to play with full comfort for myself, I don't give a crap about playtesting the game I enjoy for free". So don't invoke "responsibility", it's hypocrite.
You've been told, no more balance changes will go into release: believe it or not, join the game or don't. Nothing else to discuss.

Playtesting through slow game is ineffective because we will hardly have the chance to test all systems. If you want to test the game, play iterative fast games. Playing slow games with balance that changes during game itself results in faulty data and will lead to more of your balance changes that will have to be "fixed" later.

You should rename the game to "desperate cooperative testing with minimal effort" not to mislead the people into thinking they are committing to a real longturn game.

Is this possible, o01eg? It means changing game rules only.

Could I get the timetable for this game ?
I don't really understand when it'll start nor when it'll end, and I have changes in my IRL situation coming so I don't want to commit myself to something I won't be able to do.

It's hard to say. I'm going to start it this week but currently there are a small number of players, so I think I'll start it next week after pre-release build will be published.

It's impossible to say when it'll end because it highly depends on player activity.

The only thing I can say you should be able to make a turn each 23 hours, or you can ask to set up delegate who can play your empire while you're unable to play.

Magnate told me by email he will join too. Swaq will pass, it seems. Not happy with current balance plus needs a break.

Yeah I'm here - had a nice break and got fed up with Path of Exile yesterday so it's perfect timing!

I'd rather not download and manually patch/install anything if we can help it - I'm happy updating to each weekly build but could we limit it to that?
