Maybe not the issue in your case (because there are some other problems going on), but gmail and other mail services by default put into spam anything coming from protonmail (the service that is sending the notifications). You need to manually set a filter for [email protected] to not get into spam. Telling gmail "this is not spam" won't work.

I've fixed issues with cookies https://github.com/freeorion/freeorion/pull/2818 so next weekly test build give less load on the mail service.

I don't see attempts to login after restarting server. Are you sure you use correct player name?

I tried at about the time of you posting this. However, I don't know if I'm connecting to the correct server. Is freeorion-lt.dedyn.io it? There is still no email.

Is there a way to connect from command-line? Typing it in on the multiplayer join screen every time is cumbersome (clipboard does not work, the game does not save it).

Code: Select all

./freeorion --help
Option Groups:
  audio Audio
  effects Effects
  network Network and server
  resource Game data resources
  save Save game
  setup New game starting settings
  ui User interface
  version Version
  video Video
  misc Miscellaneous
--help has no instructions on how to use this?

My game (weekly test build) does save it:

With v0.4.9 release it also saved a list of recent server addresses in the "Lan game at:" box. That's not working any more maybe?
But it keeps the last server used in the "Internet game at:" box.

Could you check PM if you don't have typos in e-mail?

There is no typo.

Why are OTP passwords even necessary? Or emails as delivery method?
