Sixth game on the multiplayer slow game server (0.4.9)

Re: Sixth game on the multiplayer slow game server (0.4.9)
TS01eg: any chances we can pause our party for a while (right after we retake swaq's planets would be a nice timing) and we jump on L29Ah like a pack of rabid hyenas? SAO could go for the formerly Magnate's space, TS01eg the rest of L29Ah's empire. Deal?

Which is it then? Am I downplaying SAO strength or not?

"Sir! Psychological warfare starting to take effect on SAO leadership!"
"Excellent. Continue the assault. Soon they will break down entirely, enticing them into careless action."

Re: Sixth game on the multiplayer slow game server (0.4.9)
That won't work. We have Magnate to keep judgement under control. He has children, he is immune to psycologycal tricks. The Silent One wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 3:42 pm "Sir! Psychological warfare starting to take effect on SAO leadership!"

And that leadership stuff
No, I'm not the leader, just the team member with the bigger mouth.

The Huge Massacre of Alsafi beta
Bombers everywhere! L29Ah had the hundreds of them... but they are gone now.
Edit: the actual compositions were along this lines:
L29:
Mobile chaff (empty frigates and protoplasmic): 60+
Shielded static multicels with lasers or flaks: 20+
Dedicated Bomber Carriers (bio-adaptive or symbiotic with 2 bomber hangars): 50+
Maybe some more stuff, I didn't monitor his fleets the past two turns.
Alleryn/Magnate:
Mobile chaff (symbiotic with zor. or diamond plates): 50
Oberlus:
Self-gravs. with 3 plasmas and 2 fighter hangars (3 launch bays): 4
Robos with 2 plasmas, 1 armour and 1 fighter hangar/bay: 9
FlakChaff (spatial flux with 1 armour and 1 flak): 55
Comsats: 50

You mean in the sense of declaring victory for one of the two 3-member alliances (once the losing alliance says so) and ending the game via concede?TheSilentOne in-game wrote:so - shall we turn this officially in a 3vs3?
Whatever you like is fine for me.
The pact I have with swaq for his support is to let him take (from you) much more planets than AO, for swaq to become a real adversary in the the subsequent 1vs2 ending game. I'm not looking forward for that anyway, we can end the game anytime now to let in the players that are waiting (already waiting: JonCST, Hyperant; eventually waiting: TSO, o01eg, L29Ah ).
Re: Sixth game on the multiplayer slow game server (0.4.9)
On another subject:
Shall we make the next game (7th) with fixed teams or free diplomacy (maximum X players per alliance)?
Assuming L29Ah, o01eg, TSO, JonCST, Magnate, swaq, Hyperant and Oberlus, eight players, we could do both.
BTW, for ring shape, the worst scenario when playing two fixed teams of 4 members each is: AABAABBB, that is, a player of one team is sandwhiched between two pairs of the other team, so that players will be screwd up. I think that one is a rather bad scenario for the sandwiched player, worse than most cases that could arise playing on Disc/Cluster/Box shapes, IMO (not based on experience). But it's not very likely. So I guess we could play Ring for both free diplomacy and fixed teams.

Yup, really don't wanna have to turn on my allies if we do defeat SAO, unlikely as it seems.

It's settled then: you three concede, we win, everyone happyThe Silent One wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 10:09 pm Yup, really don't wanna have to turn on my allies if we do defeat SAO, unlikely as it seems.

Turn 100
Wow, what a battle! Maybe there is hope for the Eaxaw to rise up once again. If only those pesky camps didn't keep popping up out of nowhere...

The Silent One is a formidable adversary. Kudos!
Those skirmishers...

Re: Sixth game on the multiplayer slow game server (0.4.9)
TSO was a formidable ally, so I am not surprised he is a formidable adversary.
This has been a fun game - having been knocked out first, it's been a privilege to have another go.
I think SAO is on the point of conceding to TSO1Ah but would not wish that to be taken as bad grace. I'm very happy to play on and put up fierce resistance if that's what people want ...

Re: Sixth game on the multiplayer slow game server (0.4.9)
Same. But it would be way more interesting if L29Ah and TSO1eg fight each other.

Turn 109
L29Ah is trying to go faster than he can. No bomber resuply on enemy space is a drawback for those bombers. The Weed forces at Xiddig alpha are managing to hold for now.
