After game finishes. Otherwise you could be seen areas of the galaxy you've not seen yet.
Not that it really matter at this point of game, but it's good practice.
I understand that - good point well made.

I told you four posts ago, turn 88. But you should be able to see it with the save file (I think you can take control of any empire or be observer).
No you told me that you got plasma 3 on turn 88, I'm (also) asking when you got plasma 2, as my client didn't notice that at all ....

I think the server has crashed, as I'm getting a black screen. I'm going to bed now and have an early start tomorrow, so I will turn tomorrow evening, about 22h from now.

o01eg, could you set the turn interval back down to something closer to the original 24 hours?

Since i know there's no worry about the turn duration, i find myself getting lazy about meeting the 23 hour "implicit" deadline. Shortening the deadline will make me pay more attention.

Thanks.

Yes, I can. Do others agree with it?

Oh dear, then something is very wrong my end, and I don't know what because I can ping freeorion-lt.dedyn.io with no problem.

I will install the latest weekly build tonight and try again.

In principle I'm happy to go back to 24h deadlines - once I can connect again!

Maybe there something like video drivers issues? I've checked server and it works and accepts connections.

24 hours deadline sounds good to me.

Ok with 24 or 23 hours.

Also, if Magnate is having trouble, and I think current game is pretty much decided, Magnate+TSO win, and there is/are playera waiting to join the party, so we could start new game if everyone else agree.

Anyway there were content fixes after last weekly test build so I prefer to postpone next game to next weekly test build. Maybe I should publish saves to catch reported errors?

I've opened thread dedicated to next teamed game: https://freeorion.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11367

Use this thread for more global issues about the server itself.

I agree the game outcome does not favor Oberlus or myself. The only reasons i could see for not closing it down would be:

o If Magnate or TSO wish to try for a solo win.
o If there are portions of the code related to alliances which would be tested by going to the bitter end.

Other than that, yeah, the game is all over but the unrelenting grinding into the dirt of disadvantaged empires.

Nah.
You could hardly admit to that in an open channel, now, could you?

Ha ha!

I'm happy with a joint win - thanks partner!

I'm worried about my inability to connect though (it's not video, it's networking, I'm implementing ipv6 at home and it's messing stuff up) - given o01eg's suggestion of waiting for the next weekly test build, please can we leave the game up so I can continue trying to connect. Once I can connect I will turn to check that I can disconnect and reconnect properly in the new turn.

In the meantime, I'd like to upload savegames to the bug threads on github so that we can try to fix them. I'm especially worried about clients not updating enemy fleet details when weapon tech upgrades are researched ....
