The race for transcendence with Trancedance buildings

#1 Post by Ophiuchus »

To make the race for trancedance more interesting.

The Trancedance building where the population meets and actively works on reaching transcendence.

* For each Trancedance building the RP-cost of transcendence is reduced by a fixed amount (or the price reduction is higher the more buildings exist)
* that allows PP-rich empires a way to catch up on RP-rich empires
* a planet with Trancedance buildings may be captured, so its risky to build / you need to defend them if you dont want your neighbors to get that RP price reduction
* the more Trancedance buildings exists, the closer the galaxy is to reaching transcendence
* destroying a Trancedance building should give your empire a lasting penalty (everybody will hate the government for that)
Any code or patches in anything posted here is released under the CC and GPL licences in use for the FO project.

Look, ma... four combat bouts!

I love your fusion of Transcendence and Trance dance
Maybe some other music styles could be more suited for reaching the Nirvana, but I respect your choice, dude!

Might be worth a shot...
There should be a number of starlane jumps between two buildings required, so one would have to space them a bit, making them harder to defend.
So building more of them would make Transcendence reachable earlier but require also much more military efforts to protect them.
