I'm currently working on several icons for Intelligence research.

Well, it's not much, but it's a start. Here's the icon I came up with for Sensors.

Re: DannyGlands' Graphics
What's the concept for this icon? To me it looks like a hexagonal bolt cap...

It looks like a very pretty camera lens...

But I'm not sure what he's going for.
Internal component images are X shaped, and the tech icons are square, with a flatter, less shaded look designed to be either greyscale or tinted the color of their category.
Looks like too much gradient and zoom to me.
If this is for a research icon, I think it would match the others better if it had less gradient/flare and a bit more lineart.
Sort of like the following, only from someone who knew what they were doing. (Taking that lens idea and adding line art showing it receiving data and passing it on, maybe add data blobs on the wires).

Re: DannyGlands' Graphics
Looks like it would fit better.
I don't know what they used for most of the other tech graphics but there seems to be a great deal of curvy lines, probably a lot of path tool use (if gimp) or a vector editor.

Looks similar to, but cleaner than, the existing Active Radar icon. Usable, I think.
