Screen real estate in this game is tight.
I would like to ask/suggest a change to the graphics behind planets when looking at systems
Quite often we are only looking at 1 up to 4 planets/etc within any system, so there is so much wasted space underneath.
I would ask that the background transparency be very high so only a very slight shading is shown, allowing us to place window panes with information we don't need as much, but want to see. That way that information would only ever not be seen, when looking at system with 6 or more planets/etc, and that is easy to fix, by cliking on another smaller system so it can be seen.
Transparency setting for background for systems
Re: Transparency setting for background for systems
+1
Also, when you click on free space, to select no systems, the systems panel goes away and you can see everything under it.

Re: Transparency setting for background for systems
Not sure if that has changed but does not work. I have to click on some fleet, then the system goes away. You can click nothing and the fleet will go away, leaving it all empty
You can click on the pane underneath, if some is showing, and it will come to the front.

You can set it yourself in the options colours tab.
Options -> Colors -> Windows -> Fill -> lower the "A" slider -> OK
re: click to close, if a fleetwnd is open, it is closed first. If not, the system sidepanel will close when left-clicking on empty space.

Escape - thank you
Also Transaparency is good - but a mixed bag. Still more screen real estate now.
