Went to https://github.com/freeorion/freeorion-sdk/releases, downloaded FreeOrionSDK_12_MSVC-v141-Win32.zip.
Extracted archive and ran bootstrap.bat as administrator.

Despite using the latest SDK, I didn't manage to compile FreeOrion with VS 2017. Is it still up to date?
Should I maybe provide some information like the error messages from the compiler?

Thanks :) . Placed a category marker on the bottom of the card and gave it a bit more of a washy/used look. Will use this as reference for the other cards.

Looks good, though something more than just colour to differentiate categories is needed, as some people are comourblind. For that I had intended the shape on the card cover - wing-shape on the military policy cards, circle on the social cards (something to determine on the economic cards). Not eno...

Policy icons concept

So I've started a bit of conceptual work on the policy icons. Drawing inspiration from Civ where policies look a bit like playing cards, here's the design I came up with so far.

I also got the powerful humans, and there's an abundance of fertile planets closeby. Concerning policies I haven't the foggiest idea, so probably liberty.

[...], he's right that its adoption went unusually quickly (proposed October 30 and merged October 31 if I understand correctly), which for an addition with heavy effects on game balance is probably not the way to go. The field effects were at time of merging (ofc) impromptu and meant to be adapted...
