Re: About Tech Tree GUI

I'm not sure about indentation of refinements. I mean, will there be refinements of lower tier applications? I don't think so. Refinements are for a specific tech/app. Later techs are new techs and may have their own refinements. I meant, like, having a technology on Tier I with two refinements and...

Re: About Tech Tree GUI

I really like the ideas. I suggest using roman numerics for tiers. Also representing tier unlocking progress graphically (as dots or bars that change color from "researchable" to "done"). I'm not sure about indentation of refinements. I mean, will there be refinements of lower ti...

Re: Revamp Exobots and flat bonuses

So... this changes the species of the entire ship, right? So if I wanted (however dump that might sound) to create a troop ship with good pilots (or good stealth or whatever) species piloting and with warbot troops this would not be possible, right?

Re: Space Monster Art

To be fair, you don't need to have the fork "linked" to the folder on your machine. GitHub allows rudimentary file operations and upload through its web interface. Checking out the fork on your local machine can make automation of certain operations easier in the long run, though. You do n...

Re: Exobots

They could have very bad growth and require growth-focused Exobot colonies in supply to grow (or to be set to growth focus themselves).

Re: One colony replaces the other

I don't have one at hand, so I would need to create the situation in a game. I assume that developers don't have one on hand either and would need to create the situation in game just like you. If you prepare the save game yourself, you increase the odds someone will try to fix it. I can tell from ...

D'oh

I really appreciate your support, o01eg (and stating the obvious to my stale mind).

Re: Help with setting up

Is SDK prepared for a debug or release build?

There are two paths to provide for (for example) vorbis file library, but SDK contains only a single libvorbisfile.lib (and pdb, but it could be from a debug build our a release with symbols build).

As for research ...
Maybe conservatives should have a malus for research, but reduced costs of refinements?

Re: Species Values Discussion

Open-minded: receptive, tolerant, impartial, approachable. Not directly related to research, good also for relations/diplomacy. Bad for resisting heresy. Superstitious: unfounded, unproven; OR gullible, credulous, apprehensive (afraid, anxious, suspicious, fearful). That one maybe only for natives....

Not a native speaker myself, but I don't think intellectual necessary relates to invention. Rather it's about studying, teaching and learning.

Maybe curious or open-minded?

I'd say Scientific vs Superstitious.
