Though the engine could support it, I really don't see why we should make techs that improve multiple very different categories. Generally choosing which tech to research should be a strategic choice. If the techs improves lots of stuff at once there aren't going to be very many distinctive choices...

Refinements should upgrade everything related to that particular technology so we don't have Plasma Cannon v1, v2 and v3. Instead "Plasma Refinemant" would increase the damage and efficiency of all Plasma Weapons, as well as improving anything else realated to Plasma.

Not bad, it kinda reminds me of a giant dog bone or chew toy. A lot of them would look pretty good.

My opinion was that human ships should look more like Imperial craft in Battlefleet Gothic, but then again we're just as unpredictable as any other race.

How about a little grey "O"? It implies emptiness, and it doesn't stand out as much as a star or black hole.

You bring up some good points eleazar. Like I said it was just an openeing draft but I guess I might develop some answers for you. Who is the "unknown force"? Yeah you wouldn't tell the player right off, but these guys seem like they should show up again somewhere. I guess I left this part...

IIRC the whole idea of antarans and stuff would have to be changed a bit to avoid copyright issues, FO is inspired mostly by 4Xs like MoO2 but it is not a clone. Other than that, as long as their not called Antarans this idea would make a good challenge for late games when the galaxy starts to fill ...

As far as I know, black holes are currently coded in as regular stars and this is on the to-do list to change them into normal black holes.

That way you could request things from your allies that you can't build yourself, it could also make a very good gift, who wouldn't want to be freinds with somebody who has just given them a shiny new Leviathan Worldship in exchange for improved relations? :)

Say during diplomacy one could request or offer items from the production list (obviously your allies would have a different list to you) This would be handled jus...
