Re: Meter Values vs. Resource Production
Honestly I like both methods of display. Meters are good for comparison.

Re: Missile Targeting
I like the idea of missiles having some capability of acquiring targets. But a very limited one. They should need to rely on ship based sensors for most target acquisition.

Re: minor/magnate civs?
Mexico is kinda different here as the locals slowly took over the government. The conquistadors conquered the Aztec, Mayan, and Inca civilizations and setup their own system of governments instead. Now? The "Spaniards" have become a non-entity and the "subjugated" peoples have ta...

Re: planet to planet conflict
Hmm... I like the idea of planets being able to fire long range weapons at each other. Not really sure how to render it without some sort of function to automatically give the planetside armaments the longest range stuff you've got.

Yeah, Indigenes don't need to be balanced empires. they just need to not be useless.

Re: Ground Combat!
How should 3-or-more-way ground combats work, for example when two or more empires invade the same planet, or board the same ship/orbital building? They can't just all be fighting for domination of the planet - what if Red and Green are defending Red's planet from Blue, and Blue invades? Does Green...

Re: Antares universe
I like the idea of peicing together the backstory behind ~THIS~ particular game. Who will you meet when you open the portal? Will they try to kill you? Or will they send a preemptive strike if you delay?

Re: Regarding to Star systems and planets
A while back I worked at balancing the planets. It didn't really work. I did make great strides towards a more balanced generation routine, but it wasn't quite good enough. The universe generation thing is screwed up... or at least it was a year ago when i messed with it. The results it produces ar...

Re: Ship Design
As a general rule, faster is better. Therefore people tend to build ships that are as fast as they can afford.

Yeah, in single player it's best to hijack a few antaran ships before you go to Orion. That way you have less options open for the computer to give you.

Re: Of Nova-bombs, Supernovas, and Toxic Terraforming.......
again without seeing the actual code i can only guess but, dont kno if its just entered wrong in the wiki but a bell curve, general requires more than one random number the results are then added, ie - not 1-100 but 1-50 + 1-50, but that's neither here nor there also ice/totally frozen opposite of ...

Re: Antares universe
Not quite. The Orions actually CREATED the mini universe that the Antarans were banished to. A side effect of this caused such massive flutuations in Hyperspace that for a time it would occasionally block hyperspace travel temporarily, but after a while the fluctuations became so severe that FTL tra...
