New Post Icons not working?

are the "new post pending" icons (the orange notes) lighting up for other people on the individual topics? They light up for me on the whole forum, but when i click on the forum, all the topics are white (no new posts).

Whatsup with that?

although it looks nice, for a game i think that kind of UI is a bit "unnecessarily ornate". For me it's like they tried to hard to make it "cool", but it feels more like cool without purpose, or if we really went into deep space we wouldn't be working on consoles that worked like...

I agree. the choice of fonts and overall widget size is much too big. Lots of wasted space as a result.

i like the way GalCIv did they're minimap. Each star had a sizable circle around which represented it's influence in some field. Switch to Population view, and the circles around each colony grow or shrink in sze to show relative amounts of population contained therein. http://www.galciv.com/images/...
