Re: nevermind
nevermind - i found there was a ancient ruins Neutronium synthesizer that i wasn't aware of. Sorry, back to your normally scheduled fleet building. The george only part was just a coincidence where they had shipyards and could build the forge and the other systems that i checked just happened to not...

nevermind - i found there was a ancient ruins Neutronium synthesizer that i wasn't aware of. Sorry, back to your normally scheduled fleet building. ** **After I researched neutronium I found that my George planets could build Neutronium Forges, even though I did not yet have a source. None of my oth...

Solar hull nerfed too much?
Due to the Titanic Hull's higher structure, which therefore needs fewer armor parts, you can build a Titanic hull that is has a more powerful attack and similar structure to a similarly equipped Solar hull, and at the same time is cheaper and faster to build. To make up for its higher research cost,...

Misiorla Colonies
Its great (and scary) to see the AI utilising species that it acquires via Xenoresurrection Labs! I captured a planet that was populated with Misiorla from another empire, waited until they were happiness 5 (pop 14) and tried to build a colony of them in another system and found that I hadn't becaus...

2017-01-06 build crashing frequently
I am getting frequent program crashes with the new build dated 2017-01-06. It seems to crash randomly around every 5 - 30 turns. Crashes are not yet reproducible; I can load an autosave from the turn before the crash and it plays successfully. I reinstalled the previous version of Freeorion (2016-12...

Re: Misiorla Flak Cannons Overpowered
Meaning they get an extra shot for a total of 6 shots, but each shot also does an extra damage so they do 6 2pt damage shots. Ok, that makes more sense. In the combat report damage log it shows them doing a single point of damage to fighters, but now that I've looked in the freeoriond.log file I se...

Misiorla Flak Cannons Overpowered
Misiorla are getting some huge boost on their Flak Cannons. Generic gets 3 damage per, Mu Ursh get 5 damage per, Misiorla get 12 damage per Flak Cannon. I've attached a screen shot of a Small Hull with a single Flak Cannon, and I see the same behaviour in a few other hulls that I checked. Build 12-2...

Re: Fighters! Feedback needed
In the Combat Report Log file it would make more sense if carriers were shown launching fighters before they are shown being destroyed.
Currently you find:
The Hegemony ship BlahBlah was destroyed
BlahBlah launches 2 Fighter

Order of Stats Displayed in Fleet Window
The order of the stats displayed on a line for an individual ship no longer matches up to the order that the stats are displayed in for a line in the fleet window and its driving me nuts! Can the order for an individual ship be changed back to: Damage, Structure, Shields, Fuel, Speed, Detection, Ste...

Fighter Damage Calc Wierdness
Note: These damage numbers come from total damage showed in the pedia ship design info window in the ship design screen, and are for a generic species before laser fighters have been researched. These numbers were generated with a grav hull but I see the same thing with other hulls. Win32 build date...

Re: Fighters! Feedback needed
I'm finding that I've adjusted my ship designs so they all have a single flak gun and now I can pretty much ignore fighters. I don't know if the flak gun is overpowered vs fighters (too many fighter kills per turn?) or if the fighters need to be stronger. Early game I use robot hulls with 1x flak 3x...

Re: Thoughts on latest release...
I use windows 7, and also used to get the occasional BSOD, but then I turned off ALL overclocking and it went away completely. Over a year later and no bluescreens in the game. I was using a mild cpu (AMD) and ram speed overclocks that weren't causing issues with anything else. I suspect in my case ...
