Re: Field images

I'm working on some more of these beauties, is there any interest in a tutorial how to do these? I sort of compiled a how-to for myself, I could flesh it out some more.

Ship is on its way.

Re: species effect for like/dislike of fieldtypes

I kinda get LienRags point though: sounds like only a minimal gameplay effect, which is random, and not really adding much strategic choice to the game.

Sure, I'll start production on a colony ship right away.

wobbly wrote: Fri Jan 21, 2022 12:22 pm Does it have to be Greek or Latin all the time? What's wrong with explotando cerebro?
It is fairly standard in scientific naming, which I think we're amining to mimick in the species description. Also, cerebro = cerebrum = latin

Re: Master List of New Native Species

Artwork doesn't fit with the rest of the species images, I think you should just omit that.
Edit: also not sure about Q/A stuff...

Re: kind of new here

#Haemophilic Detection# cuz we likes u'r blood? Haemophilia is also a coagulopathy though, bleeding disease of the kings, so also a confusing term  Falling back to etymology, one could think that a rifle is telepathic because it is capable of "inflicting suffering at distance". :lol...

Re: kind of new here

sure you not mixed it up with 'hematopathy' with hem- instead of haem-? Hem- and haem- come both from the same origin (haima), if you ask me. See here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/hematopathy Alternative forms: haematopathy Also here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/hematopathic#English (patholog...

I'd say leave out the image if it doesn't fit in with the ones we already have. Least would be to change the color so the image is actually visible against the grey backdrop.

This would translate to "blood-suffering detection" (haima = blood; pathos = suffering). Probably more like haimaesthetic detection (aesthesia = sensibility)?
