Re: Question: How many tech trees will FO include?

Technically it's already possible to have a tech only available to a certain species I think. As you said, the general design of the tech tree is still heavily work in progress, but in future it will probably include a number of techs exclusive to certain species.

Re: Crashing on Startup on Windows 7

There have been problems with ATI cards in the past I think and from what I've read here, I would agree, that it's a graphics card issue - not a Windows 7 issue.

I'm running freeOrion on Windows 7 x64, without any problems.

Re: feedback on r3785

This has been noted here . It seems to be fixed, so expect it to work in the new build, hopefully coming soon. As a sidenote, could you please stop using this image hoster? The images change for some reason after a while and I have to remove them. You can attach images if you like or use another hos...

Re: Recent Windows Builds

Every build posted here comes in 2 parts: executables(3 files) and content files(the entire default folder). The executables can be downloaded via direct links posted here. The content files can be downloaded using the tarballs, also posted here, or by updating using SVN to the specific revision. Th...

Re: feedback on r3785

I've split this into a seperate topic.

It's impossible for me to understand this auto-translated mess. Could you perhaps try really hard to translate on your own? Use simple sentences. What's your native language?

Re: Recent Windows Builds

You've updated to the most recent version by doing it this way. Do it again, but this time choose "update to revision" and type 3785. http://www.optisch-edel.de/fo/svn.jpg I thought that this application updates all new files, edited, changed too. Do you suggest SVN Update to new directory...

Re: Recent Windows Builds

Did you download the tarball and replace the entire default folder(where the content files are)? Replacing the 3 executables is not sufficient.

Did you make sure to use content files from revision 3785?

Re: We are in center of galaxy!

What Andrev is describing is a self repeating map(look at the yellow arrows). This might indeed be an interesting play mode, but applies only to irregular galaxies.

Why is a player in the corner always at a disadvantage? Isn't his position easier to defend?

I completely agree. It's probably best to integrated it into the tech screen as another view mode. As you said, low priority though.

Thanks for the mockup Andrev.

Re: Colonization process | habitability indication

You still can. Select a ship at system A, select system B, colony button appears, hit it - movement and colonize orders are queued. In a situation were a colony ship is already present in system B, you can just select the system and hit the colonize button... -> what we had before. In a situation we...
