Shipyards
I'm wondering if you guys think shipyards would be a good addition to the game. I'd make it a planetary structure that would sit in orbit. Also (flavorwise at least) it would be largely automated and able to build ships with minimal resources invested.

Also, why is there only one build queue? I mean, would it not make sense that each planet would have its own seperate build queue? That way I can have one planet producing some colonists, and another producing warships, at the same time. I think we could do the following: Have one build queue, but ...

I wouldn't make a speciallized ship required. I'd just make it a freighter required. Load the stuff into a freighter and haul it to a planet that does research.
