If i understand correctly the player would have a total of 20 troop points (5+10+8), The player would wonder why they did not have the full 23 (5+10+8+3) (The ATroops stacking bonus took precedence). Thats why I think we should say something about stacking in the description. "This offers xxx ...

You write in the description: "Effect is non-stacking." Also, players don't research, or even know anything about stacking groups, so I don't see why that would be cause for confusion for the player. Example: Well if you research something like "ATroops", that gives your empire ...

Ah...I get it.

Im wondering how I could explane Stacking effect groups to the player so they know whats going on if they reserach a stacking group that adds 5 to something each and the player wonders why they it only increased 5......

Activation conditions and stacking groups are discussed here: http://freeorion.org/index.php/Effects#EffectsGroup In short, things with a stacking group don't stack with other things that have the same stacking group. Well iv spent most of the day playing around and put together a very nice Shipyard with modules (addons). Here are some pictures and a 256x256 dramatic view with transparent background. And as for using PD's stuff, his "Mark 1" hull graphic should be assigned to one of the hulls. Currently it only appears in the thumbnail of a "mark 1". Ill include that in my next update later today with the 8-bit graphics. EDIT: Alright...Iv redone all of them and now the file...

I think all that needs to be changed is: a) Change what the default thumbnail is for designs that don't have one specified. I.E. look in "hull_small" for a file of the same name as the big graphic. Currently they all have "_small" appended to the name, but that could be changed....

Hmmm, it appears the thumbnail images (such as appear in the fleet window) can be attached only to pre-made ship designs. Which is probably not what we want. I figured lil issues like this would crop up once we start to have unique hulls.... Also did I do the ship_hulls.txt update properly? Iv neve...

There is no separate thumbnail graphic. I meant do I do anything with the 256x256 icons that got commited for them to be taken into effect in the game? Or are those not be used just yet? One time loading delay is fine; you'll notice something similar on the sidepanel in systems with asteroid belts....

Ya, im seeing a lot of the descryptions going south compared to the effects.

Ill download a tarball of all the updated txt files and cross refrence them all and see if i can bring them upto date.
