Re: Battle simulation

I guess I don't agree with that if combat simulation is a skill, like I mentioned. Not to be belligerent nor insulting, but what is it that you don't understand in " only allows to automatize a task that can be done manually by the player " ? Or what do you disagree with in that sentence,...

truepurple wrote: Sat Jul 17, 2021 2:06 am Just so you know THIS (quoted) is an example of belligerent and insulting, right here.
As I say, you are rapidly getting to the point where no one will pay any attention to you. This is a prime example.

Re: Wasted micro-UI that should be put to use.

OK DU, you are being incredibly rude and dishonest. Are you thinking about what you're doing? See? You go around feeling free to say whatever you want, belligerent and insulting as I've said, but when anyone objects you feel like you're being wronged. What will happen eventually is that no one will...

Re: Wasted micro-UI that should be put to use.

And not helped by a belligerent and insulting manner in the discussions that do take place. You mean hypocritically like this post? Do you really think you are contributing to a civil discussion by posting those unfounded accusations here? If it makes you think about what you're doing, it might con...

Re: Battle simulation

I guess I don't agree with that if combat simulation is a skill, like I mentioned. The Empire would have people that make estimates of combat results and give it to the interested parties. The player is the representative of the Empire as far as making decisions.

I must confess that I don't exactly know what is meant by "rotation" here.

Re: Battle simulation

You don't think a fleet commander or strategist back at HQ would be interested in battle simulation results? Non-sequitur. What? You deleted the part that showed it was NOT. Pre-battle calculations are for the player, not the Emperor , so it should never have an in-game price. You can disagree with...

Re: Questions about game play.

Is there some circumstances where it's better to use a colonizer ship directly to colonize a world where others where I want to build a outpost and then convert it to a colony? Yes. Mostly when you want to colonize out of Supply. Another case is when you want to colonize rapidly after an event that...

Re: My personal strategy guide

One of the problems with this guide, not even considering its age, is that it's difficult to give specific guidance on some of these things because the game depends so much on starting conditions. A game against non-aggressive AIs with a large number of systems each is very different than a compact ...

Re: Battle simulation

I you do decide to add something, I think it should be a research item and have levels. Very bad idea imho. You can combine individual fleets. You can drag one fleet to another.

Re: Battle simulation

I would not be in favor of that. Learning to evaluate combat is one of the skills you develop. If you got that kind of advance notice, combat is almost irrelevant.

PS, you're probably either failing to take into account fighters or shields or both.
