i say unleash the magogish swarm ships. only a few in such a shiop you saw? yeah sure there is only a few in one. but you could have dozens latch onto the hull in minutes. and as said above drop in seali-ish type of squads to disable internal defenses and external weapons would prove effective

someone suggested i move this idea here.
how about an engine buildable on planets to move them into better orbits around the sun making them more habitable and allowing them to avoid external threats (IE comets asteroids possibly nova explosion if such things are going to be used in the game)

i mean the effects part of it is written in some sort of archaic version of english understood only by those most versed in programming language or something. i dont know half the time if what i am building effects only the planet it is on or the entire system it is in or what

wait you guys have average games of only 150 turns? sheesh speed playing much? you cant have very many of the techs that early in the game.
oh asd in single player i find the computers quickly eliminate themselves. i havent gone past 200 turns yet because of it.

i cant play 25 turns even on a 400 star 4 spiral arm galaxy. the computers are eliminated eachother and crashing the bloody game.

a new tech idea slaps an engine on a planet enabling it to move into a more hospitable orbit in a given solar system and also a chance to move out of the way of any external disaster like comet strikes and possibly super nova if such things are going to be utilized in game

phasors can only pierce shields when the ship being attacked doesnt have heavy shields. which also allows the ship equipped with them to have shields while in a nebula. incidentally i like death rays on my defenses since they prevent boarding of my space stations. the auto upgrade of weapons peeves ...
