I haven't played a game yet where I could choose my own alliances but I think positioning and complementing species would be near the top for me.

I've been studying blockading and I think I may have found a bug. swaq's final fleet arrived from the west at Mze A this turn, and it fought a combined fleet of me+o01eg. This turn his surviving ships are blockaded and cannot move south to Draco, but they can move east to Hydros Alpha. WTF? How is ...

I suppose Pedia page shows "Number of Systems: 108" - 18 per player. Then can we have at least 20 systems per player this time? I do think it would be a good idea to reach more late game techs for bug-hunting. For late game techs I can reduce tech cost. Also there still more systems. Three remainin...

Turn 105. In a mass panic every planet in the swaq empire simultaneously built an evacuation system. Because no planets were accepting refugees the systems all linked together and phased the populations into another galaxy plane entirely! I am sure they will be happier in their new non-violent galaxy.

I think it ended up being ~23, right? Weren't there 140 systems for 6 players? Something like that. And IMO that was way too quick to meet neighbours. No fun with exploration and scouting. Oh... I counted ~95 systems in swaq's screenshot, +5-10 from the unseen Swiss space, say 105/6 ~= 17-18 system...
