Glad to see there is at least one other building that gives influence. I didn't take time to comprehensively review each building to see if any of them aside from the palace had that bonus. Another good candidate for this bonus would be the cultural library you get when conquering a high-tech species.

Architectural Psychology and Transcendent Architecture each give one social policy slot. It would be nice if in the tech tree there was some indication of this on those techs. What I usually do on starts is enable "Super-Tester takeover" then save the game at turn 1 and build that. It reveals the whole galaxy, so I can look over what I'm facing and decide whether it's worth giving it a shot. If not, I just exit to the main menu and reroll, but if it looks intere...

The previous test version and this both crash to desktop frequently. Usually happens to me when I am merging ships into fleets. This save file consistently crashes when I click on the Listavus system.

colony ships are civilians that won't land unless it's safe. Then I should be able to land my stealthy colony/outpost ships that the enemy can't detect, right? Hmm... OK, why is invasion handled differently from colony or outpost placement then? I guess I'll have to keep experimenting to see if I can provoke the AI into bypassing one of my fleets.

IIRC, invasion can be performed regardless of hostile fleets in the system. I've never been able to do it without first destroying any defending ships. The only exception is when I have the invasion queued and hostile ships enter the system on the next turn: I guess it processes the invasion before...

I'm trying to duplicate the problem, but it's a very specific condition: I have to have a fleet with monster(s) in it, then I have to get it in a position where the AI wants to send a fleet past my blockade. Mostly they prefer to just attack rather than trying to bypass me.
