Unrelated matter: Is there a way to calculate the supply range of a given planet (by size, infrasturcture, dry docks, technologie and species)? Aurora is pretty fun if you don't mind database graphics, massive complexity & an unfriendly interface. On the upside it's free and allows for a lot of freedom in how you play.

I'm playing build 2016-05-16.b0c0de8, though I'm pretty sure the bug was in older versions. On the 1st turn with Laenfa on the top bar it displays 13.4 production/5 research. Another 1 to look at is xenaphobics. I captured a trith world & if I set it to production I get 31.6 prod, -14.8 Xenaphobic Frenzy. Though maybe this is a good thing, the penalty used to be pretty weak.
