Re: Newcomers! What's confusing about Contributing to FreeOr

I consider pd currently inactive -- August is the last time he did more than make a brief response to an occasional post. Yes, I'm inactive. I've informed Geoff about it in September last year. I'm still peeking in once a week or so, but won't be able to do anything. I've graduated a couple of week...

Re: hello all :)

The game only reads .mesh. My point is, he doesn't need an mesh exporter to get started. Testing models in-game is at the end of the process, once everything looks fine in the 3d application of one's choice.

Don't worry about the exporting to .mesh. You don't need to do that.

Re: X4 = dead?

All updates till now have been laughable. It's all just trying to fix the mess they've sold 3 months ago. Only blinded fanboys enjoy the game at this point. Just look outside the kerberos forums for actual player feedback. The game is no fun at this point, has major design flaws, performance problem...

Re: List of all space 4X games

it looks mostly playable within a week or so... No it does not. They have released an alpha version, feature incomplete and bug ridden to paying customers who thought they would buy a full game. All they are doing at this point is fixing issues, that shouldn't be there in the first place. It will t...

Re: List of all space 4X games

Not quite playable yet. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this point. Will probably take a couple of months, before it can actually be called a release.

Re: v0.3 - What's Missing?

Especially in very large galaxies, you will need a galaxy location indicator of some kind anyway, so why...
