The same way it survives without plumbing -- we simply do not simulate it much. Planets with certain specials, and all homeworlds have access to the "growth" focus. It allows connected planets (with the right kind of species) to have higher populations. This replaces "food", but...

WinXP 32bit 4747 TestBuild In the Menkalinan system is a Gas Giant, Menkalinan II, Its rotation is so fast it makes me dizzy watching it (okay I know, dont watch it). Mongo III also requires a industry focus, according to buildings.txt. I suppose that someone should modify the stringtable accordingly. Thanks that worked. As a workaround till its fixed I just altered the focus from INDUSTRY to RESEARCH and it showed up. Hope they fix this for the next build, its ...

Have you managed to find the problem? Similar crashes while loading have come and gone for no apparent reason, so I think it was not a code problem, but a random result of rebuilding things too many times. Thanks, Ill wait for a new build then, just been up in the loft and found Reach For The Stars...

Have you managed to find the problem?

At the moment im using v4666 but as your aware you cant design ships without a crash, that crash has been fixed (?) in v4720 but cant use that as you cant save :lol:

Looks like its back to SEV for a bit :(

I dont whether this will help but Im now having the same problem, I loaded each save from 152 down and it loads fine at turn 79 but will crash when loading turn 80
