- Release candidate builds of FreeOrion 0.4.5 are available on SourceForge and GitHubfor Windows and Mac OSX. Testing and feedback on the forums for these candidates are appreciated. Vezzra 18:08, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

- FreeOrion source hosting has been migrated to GitHub. The development repository is now: https://github.com/freeorion/freeorion The SourceForge SVN repository is retired, but remains accessible. Geoff the Medio (talk) 08:40, 29 March 2015 (EDT)
- FreeOrion 0.4.4 has been released. Windows and OSX installers are available on SourceForge. Linux users will need to build from source, or acquire from your distribution if available.
